Non-Surgical Procedures

Fillers

Replace volume under the skin to fill wrinkles or enhance facial features.

Procedure
Soft tissue fillers, also called dermal fillers, facial fillers, or simply “fillers”, are used to fill up defects in the soft tissues, typically wrinkles, folds and dents in the face. Some fillers are intended to add volume, for example to the cheekbone or the chin and are often used for lip enhancement.
There are many products on the market. Dr Zibdeh uses the best avliable product in the market and always uses the non-permanent fillers which are quite safe to use,
Fillers are injected directly into the area to be treated, often after application of a topical anesthetic cream. The effect is immediate, and lasts 6-9 month , depending on the type of product and the treated area.

Length
Ten to twenty minutes.

Anesthesia
Usually topical anesthetic cream, sometimes a local anesthetic injection.

Inpatient/Outpatient
Outpatient.

Possible Side Effects
Transient swelling (mainly when used in the lips), redness, tenderness, and bruising. Cold application after treatment can minimize these side effects.

Risks
There is widespread consensus that, although they may seem appealing, Dr Zibdeh does not recommend permanent as they sometimes induce adverse reactions which are very difficult if not totally impossible to treat without surgery. For all non permanent fillers, risks include irregularities or lumpiness, over- or under-correction, asymmetry and infection.

Recovery
If present, swelling and redness usually settles after 24 to 48 hours. Most patients can go back to their activities immediately with some make-up.

Results
Partial or complete correction of wrinkles and folds. Enhancement of facial features.

Fat filling

Procedure
Fat transfer, also called fat grafting, fat grafting, and fat grafting is a procedure that uses fat from a person’s own body to fill in pockets and grooves. This is now a well-established technique that was developed in the early 1990s and is now a predictable measure.

It can be performed in the case of sunken cheeks, the disappearance of fat from around the cheekbones, deep grooves extending from the nose to the corners of the mouth, and in some cases from the lines between the lower eyelid and the cheek. In addition, l can be used to alleviate all kinds of deformities caused by poor liposuction or injuries.

The necessary fat is obtained by liposuction through one or more incisions 3-5 mm long. The fat is usually taken from the abdomen or inner thigh. The fat is processed by centrifugation, filtered or filtered. To produce liquid adipose tissue ready for injection.

Then the fat is injected into the areas of need. The fat is distributed evenly in the area by injecting small amounts each time, so that the fat is surrounded by healthy tissue, and thus the transplanted fat gets oxygen and perfusion.

Length

About an hour, depending on the size of the areas to be treated

Anesthesia
Local anesthesia for the donor area and the area to be treated.

Inpatient/Outpatient
Either way is possible

Possible Side Effects
Donor area: bruising, swelling, pain, up to 24 hours, drainage of anesthetic fluid.

Treated areas: bruising, swelling (especially the lips if treated), pain.

The treated areas will be swollen immediately after the operation, especially the lips if they are treated. Therefore, it is important to use cold compresses (ice cubes) and compression garments in the first few hours to reduce swelling.

The swelling will increase until about the third day, but then it will gradually subside. After about a week to ten days patients feel confident about going out and resuming a normal social life. If any bruises remain visible for a little longer they can be hidden reasonably well with decorating creams. (Makeup)

Patients should see a surgeon after 5-7 days and again after three weeks. By then most of the swelling will have subsided, but the correction may appear somewhat exaggerated. Surgeons usually transplant more fat than is actually needed because about 25-30% of the transplanted fat cells do not survive. The final result is evaluated after three months. The surgeon takes some pictures to compare with those taken before the procedure. Another session of fat injection can be performed to repair any possible deficiency as a result of fat melting

Risks
Asymmetry, unevenness, overcorrection, and infection

Recovery

Swelling usually lessens by the third day, and social activities can be resumed after about one week, sometimes with the help of some make-up.

Results
Correction of deep wrinkles and folds. Correction of unevenness and minor potholes. Increase the volume of treated areas such as the cheekbones, cheeks, and chin. Improving the quality of the overlying skin with its positive effect. After the body absorbs a percentage of the fat (between 20 and 50%) the correction can be considered permanent

Mesotherapy

It is a treatment that is placed under the upper, middle or lower skin layer, because many of the therapeutic creams used are not absorbed by the skin or part of it is absorbed.

What areas can be treated with mesotherapy:
scalp to help the hair.

Dissolving and reducing fat for light areas and specific areas.

Skin injections to improve the quality of the skin as a result of the effects of age, sun and smoke. The skin secretes a lot of important things to improve freshness and restore missing substances such as vitamins and hyaluronic acids, which are present in the layers of the skin that decrease with the passage of time or other effects and are capable of absorbing water To restore the area freshness.

Mesotherapy has existed for a long time, and now the materials and mixtures have become more scientific as a result of research and studies to stimulate the topic.

It can be done at any age, but usually after 30 for most people.

Length

Ten to twenty minutes.

Anesthesia

Usually a local anesthetic cream, and sometimes a local anesthetic injection.

Inpatient/Outpatient:
This procedure takes place inside the center.

Possible Side Effects
Transient swelling (especially when used on the lips), redness, pain, and bruising. Cold compresses can be applied after treatment to reduce these side effects.

Risks
There is widespread agreement that, although they may look attractive, permanent fillers should not be used lightly because they sometimes cause adverse reactions that are very difficult if not completely impossible to treat without surgery. For all fillers, risks include asymmetry in the treated areas, lumps or creases, over- or under-correction, and infection. With some permanent fillers, obvious lumping or delayed reactions may occur.

Recovery
If present, swelling and redness usually settle after 24 to 48 hours. Most patients can return to their activities immediately with some face creams (make-up).

Results
Partial or complete correction of wrinkles and folds and enhancement of facial features.
